Pump Up Customer Satisfaction

A water pump is a fairly simple piece of equipment, but it's a vitally important component in protecting vehicles against overheating. And the right water pump can make the difference between customers keeping their cool or getting hot under the collar when they have to bring a vehicle back in for repair.

Fortunately, ACDelco offers water pumps for more than 95 percent of the cars and trucks on the road today.

"Since adding 570 part numbers to our lineup last year, we now have a quality water pump for just about any application, from passenger cars to medium-duty trucks," says John Munsell, ACDelco product specialist, thermal products. "A lot of manufacturers out there sell water pumps, but no one offers the coverage or the quality that ACDelco does."

ACDelco water pumps provide a perfect original equipment (OE) fit for all GM vehicles. They also offer an excellent fit for 1998 and earlier non-GM vehicles from a long list of manufacturers, including Ford, Chrysler, Mazda, Hyundai, Lexus and Nissan.

"It's the OE-style performance and fit that really makes ACDelco water pumps stand out from the competition," explains Munsell. "What's more, technicians and customers can trust that our competitively priced water pumps meet the high-quality standards they have come to expect from ACDelco."

ACDelco designs and tests all of its water pumps to meet GM quality standards — even those pumps that are intended for non-GM applications. The stringent testing process includes pressure-testing during pump assembly, which virtually eliminates the potential for leakage.

Designed to withstand high thrust forces and ensure smooth coolant flow, ACDelco water pumps provide reliable operation in all conditions. This is good news to Independent Service Centers as it means trouble-free use that reduces the potential for customer come-backs.

Munsell points out that as ACDelco continues broadening its range of thermal products, including water pumps, belts and hoses, and radiators, technicians can benefit from greater consistency and convenience.

"Everything they need to repair a thermal system is available from one brand — ACDelco," he says.

And, of course, there's the boost in consumer confidence that comes when technicians use the trusted ACDelco brand on a customer's vehicle.

"If ACDelco technicians want a quality product that can keep engines cool to OE-type performance levels," says Munsell, "then ACDelco is their pump of choice for just about any car or truck on the road today."
